HOW DOES THE CHALLENGE WORK?

As soon as you enroll in the challenge, you will receive an official welcome email with your unique login credentials. You will then use the credentials to login to the membership portal, where you will upload your first full-body picture prior to October 15, 2018, at 11:59 AM MST when the challenge officially begins. In order to keep track of your progress, you must upload a new picture every week. Note that the membership portal is private and no one else will be able to see your images but yourself and the ALPHA SHRED team.

Once the challenge begins on October 15, 2018, you will follow a 30 day training and a nutrition plan of your choice with the support of coaches Mike Rashid and master nutritionist Sean Torbati, as well as your fellow challenge participants. You will also have access to our exclusive Facebook group where you will be able to ask questions about the plan, discuss your goals, and overall gain support and motivation from the ALPHA community.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

The challenge is open to both men and women all over the world, as long as you are over 18 years old and have received clearance from your doctor to participate in the workout and nutrition program.

WHAT CAN I WIN?

Subject to Challenge Participant’s full compliance with the Official Terms stated on this page, selected winners will receive the following prizes: 

1st place receives a prize package of $5,000

Note that all prizes are valued in U.S. dollars and that any costs associated with currency exchange are at the sole responsibility of the recipient. The aforementioned prizes do not include taxes, insurance, personal expenses, gratuities, incidental charges, or any other items not specifically described in the rules stated on this page, and the foregoing are the selected challenge participant’s sole responsibility. Selected Challenge Participants are thus solely responsible for determining applicability and payment of all taxes.

DO I HAVE TO SIGN ANYTHING IF I WIN THE CHALLENGE?

If you win any of the prizes in the challenge you must agree to sign any documentation required by ALPHA SHRED, including but not limited to the following; Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability and Prize Acceptance Form. Should any of the requested documents be returned to ALPHA SHRED as undeliverable or if ALPHA SHRED does not receive a response from the selected challenge participant within five (5) business days of attempted notification, ALPHA SHRED reserves the right to disqualify the selected challenge participant and award the prize to an alternate winner.

HOW AND WHEN WILL YOU CHOOSE THE WINNER(S)?

Shortly after the challenge ends on November 14 at 11:59 PM PST, Mike Rashid and the rest of team ALPHA SHRED will choose the winners based on contestants’ before and after pictures, logged physical stats, and Alpha team spirit throughout the challenge. Our decision is final and announced in our official challenge Facebook Group as well as through a personal email to the winners on (insert date) before (insert time).

WHAT KIND OF NUTRITION PLAN WILL I FOLLOW?

Alpha Shred’s Nutrition Protocols have been prepared by expert nutritionist Sean Torbati. We have built multiple versions of the Alpha Shred Nutrition Plan allow us to pick the optimal plan for YOU. You can choose between three different nutrition programs (Vegan, Traditional, Intermittent Fasting) depending on your preference. We will then ask you to submit your height, weight, age and sex so we can send you the perfect plan for your individual needs.

  • Traditional - normal structure with meals spread throughout the day evenly
  • Intermittent Fasting - time restricted eating approach where the challenger will eat their listed 3 meals within 8 hours of the day and fast (water or non-caloric drinks only) for the remaining 16 hours of the day
  • Vegan (Mike Rashid’s One Meal A Day) - The challenger will eat on a restricted schedule where the primary feeding of the day occurs in 2 meals; within a 2-3 hour time period. The challenger will fat with water or non-caloric beverages only for the majority of the day and then will break their fast with a power shake, followed by a nutrient and calorie dense whole food meal soon thereafter. This plan is also fully plant based. The plan is designed based on the actual diet of Mike Rashid, but adjusted for different calorie needs.

IS THE CHALLENGE OPEN TO RESIDENTS WORLDWIDE?

This is a global challenge and you can participate from any country in the world as long as you are over 18 years old and have received clearance from your doctor.

HOW WILL I KNOW THAT I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY ENROLLED?

You will receive a confirmation email immediately after checkout, which will contain your unique login credentials to access the membership site. (Please check your junk or spam folder if you do not receive an email.)

WHEN DOES THE 30 DAY CHALLENGE OFFICIALLY BEGIN AND END?

The 30 day challenge officially starts on September 15 and runs through November 14, 2018, but you can access the membership portal and upload your pictures as soon as you receive the confirmation email.

IS THE CHALLENGE NOT 1 MONTH LONG?

The challenge is in fact 30 days long.

CAN I ADJUST THE START DATE AND/OR END DATE TO FIT MY SCHEDULE?

No. Everyone will be following the same timeframe, i.e. September 15-November 14.

DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE SUPPLEMENTS TO DO THE CHALLENGE? CAN I FOLLOW MY OWN NUTRITION/TRAINING PLAN?

You are free to use any supplements you like for the duration of the challenge; however, you are required to follow the training plan and one of the nutrition plans offered by ALPHA SHRED in order to qualify as a challenge participant and compete for any of the prizes.

DO I HAVE TO LOG MY NUTRITION AND WORKOUTS?

You are not required to log your diet and workouts; however, we do recommend that you interact as much as possible with the other challenge participants in the Facebook group as it will help both you and your peers stay motivated and on track.

WHAT ARE THE GUIDELINES FOR THE “BEFORE/AFTER” PHOTOS?

Follow the below steps when taking all your pictures.

FRONT VIEW

  • Wear clothing that shows 3/4th of your body (ex. bikini or trunks)
  • Look straight ahead for a clear front-view image
  • Hold a white A4 paper with the challenge #hashtag (To be announced on July 9) next to you

SIDE VIEW & BACK VIEW

  • Wear clothing that shows 3/4th of your body (ex. bikini or trunks)
  • Look straight ahead for a clear side/back-view image
  • Side and back view does NOT require holding a piece of paper

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY PHOTOS?

Use the login credentials in this confirmation email to sign into the membership portal, and then follow the link and instructions to upload your photos. When the Challenge starts on July 9, we will email all Challenge registrants the private #hashtag. You will write on a sheet of paper the #Hashtag and take your photos with the sheet of paper visible.

Note that although you can submit your initial before picture at any time prior to the challenge start date on June 1st, you must submit a new form photo every subsequent week to participate in the contest for any of the prizes.

TIMELINE:

September 15 - October 14: Challenge Signup

Mon, October 15: Day 1 start of the #ALPHASHRED 30 Day Challenge.  All Challenge materials will be uploaded the membership site.  The private hashtag will be announced and you will take the required Before Photos with the hashtag written on a sheet of paper next to you in the photos.

October 30: Day 15 of the Challenge.  Complete your photo checkins, upload to the membership site

November 14: Day 30 of the Challenge.  Complete your photo checkins, upload to the membership site

Winners will be announced in the last week of November.

CAN ANYONE ELSE SEE MY PICTURES?

No! Only you and the ALPHA SHRED can view your pictures when you upload them in the membership portal, however we do encourage sharing your progress within the challenge FB group for motivation, support and encouragement! Note that although your images are private when you upload them, competing for the prizes requires that you agree to have your final before/after image shared after the challenge is completed.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHANGE MY EMAIL DURING THE CHALLENGE?

If you change your email, please let us know at alphashred@mikerashid.com as well as update your email in the Membership Portal so we can change the email we have on file for you and make sure you receive important communications regarding the challenge.

DO I NEED A GYM FOR THESE WORKOUTS?

No gym required; these workouts can be done at home or anywhere.

WHO WILL HAVE ACCESS TO MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?

All personal information submitted in connection with the challenge will be collected and used by ALPHA SHRED solely for the purpose of communication as well as to administer the contest and award the prizes. Except as set forth herein, Contestant's personal information will not be used for any other purpose and will not be shared with anyone else, unless required by law.
