Free accounts
Accounts use Supabase Authentication. We process your email and sign-in information to create and secure your account. If available and chosen, Google or Apple provides basic account information for sign-in; we do not request access to your inbox. Passkeys use your device's authenticator. Your face and fingerprint are not sent to Quiet Work. Joining does not enroll you in marketing emails.
Rafīq and AI services
Using Rafīq sends your messages, recent conversation context, and attachments you select to our Supabase backend and OpenAI, directly or through the Lovable AI gateway, to generate a response. Microphone recordings are sent for transcription. With voice playback enabled, reply text is sent to ElevenLabs to generate speech. AI processing requires your agreement before using these features. You can continue reading and using prayer tools without agreeing.
We request that chat responses are not stored using the model API's response-storage feature. This does not mean all providers retain no data: security logs, abuse monitoring, and other processing remain subject to their policies and our service configuration. Avoid sharing passwords, payment information, or information you do not want processed by these services.
Optional memory
Memory is off by default. When you turn it on, you can explicitly save, review, edit, and delete details. These memories are stored with your account in Supabase and included in future AI requests while memory is on. We do not automatically extract memories from your chats or journal entries. Turning memory off stops new saves and the addition of saved memories to new requests; it does not erase existing memories or remove details already present in your conversation. You can delete memories and clear a conversation separately.
Your device and usage information
Reading progress, saved essays, downloaded text, voice preferences, and chat history are stored in this browser. Signed-in chat history is kept separately for each account and is not automatically uploaded for cross-device chat sync. Account memories are available wherever you sign in. Local downloads may be removed by your browser or when you clear site data.
We use Umami for page and feature-usage analytics. Our backend also records operational information such as request timing, session identifiers, message lengths, and rate-limit events. These help us maintain and protect the service. Search query text is not included in the site's search analytics events. Newsletter forms collect the information you submit; newsletter subscriptions have their own unsubscribe links. Prayer-time city searches send the city you enter to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service. Device location is requested only when you choose to use it for prayer calculations.
Retention and deletion
Account memories remain until you delete them or delete your account. Use your account to manage memory, withdraw AI permission, or delete your account. Account deletion also removes your associated Declaration of Truth profile, declarations, and daily records. It does not automatically unsubscribe you from separate mailing lists. Local chat history on other devices can be removed by clearing it there or clearing site data. Provider backups and operational logs may remain for their applicable retention periods; contact us for assistance with a specific data request.
Cloud account data is access-controlled, but it is not presented as end-to-end encrypted. Service providers and authorized operators may process it to operate and support the service. We do not sell your saved memories.
