The Surah · In Three Parts
One hundred and ten verses, read in three sittings. Al-Kahf runs four accounts, and each one is a different kind of pressure. Young men who lose their safety for their faith. A man who loses his head over his own property. A prophet who is taught that his knowledge has an edge. And a king with more power than anyone, who keeps building anyway and calls it mercy from his Lord. Faith, wealth, knowledge and power, one after another, with the antidote to each placed beside it. Al-Hakim and al-Bayhaqi record from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri that whoever recites this surah on Friday will have light shining for him between the two Fridays, and Muslim records from Abu Darda that whoever memorizes ten verses from its beginning is protected from the Dajjal.
Part One We Bound Their Hearts When They Stood. A Book with no crookedness in it, the earth described as an adornment laid down for a test, young men who walked away from everything, three hundred years of sleep, and the instruction to hold yourself with the people who call on their Lord morning and evening. What Allah Willed. Two gardens and the sentence a man said inside them, the companion who answered him, water sent down that the wind scatters, Iblis named as the one whose offspring men take as allies, and the record that leaves out nothing. You Will Not Be Able to Have Patience With Me. Musa traveling to learn from a man who knew what he did not, a wall rebuilt for two orphans, Dhul-Qarnayn between two mountains, and the closing verse on how a man meets his Lord.Verses 1 to 31
Verses 32 to 59
Verses 60 to 110
